Play auditions (part 2)

On Friday, December 13, I had auditions for a play. I think my audition went well. For the audition, we had to say a monologue and sing a short song. I recited the prologue from beauty and the beast, and sang part of be prepared. My director said I'm probably going to be the mad hatter.

Feline Mask

I am working on a cat mask for art this week. It is a black cat with one green and one blue eye. I want to wear it for Halloween if I can. I already finished with the foam base, and am working on the fur. When it is finished, I will upload a picture onto my blog. Making the mask is very messy. There is a lot of fur on the ground and pieces of foam everywhere. I'm over halfway done.

Art app : Ibis Paint x

Ibis Paint X is a free drawing app. It is very easy to use, and can produce amazing works of art. There are many brushes to choose from, and infinite colors. One of my favorite things on the app is the line stabilizer, which draws smoother lines, and makes your art look better. I use it to keep my digital art from looking like trash. I think it is really easy and fun to use. I would definitely recommend it.

I do plenty of things like code. Scratch is one of them. it is an interactive coding website. I also do dragon cave. you can breed dragons and raise them.


Dragon Cave
i have a small scroll and i have some doubles. I have a double nebula and two double headed dragons. I want a white dragon and a black dragon. I have no hybrids and no created dragons (undead dragons, neglected dragons) i also have no breed-less dragons (paper dragon) or flightless dragons (sweetling dragon, aegis dragon)



Scratch
I make my own games on scratch. they are fun to make. the one i'm making currently is a jade mountain academy game from wings of fire. If you are creative or want to try coding, you can do it. It is a relatively easy code with blocks, and it is fun.

drama and other things i'm thinking about.

This spring i am doing a musical called The Granny Awards about fairy tale characters getting awards like Best female vocalist. during the play, the Big Bad Wolf tries to steal the awards. I am Cinderella/Red riding hood. I am also a kitten in the Three Little Kittens laundry commercial, and a child in the Hickory Dickory Dock clocks ad.

Winter

It is February. It is winter. It has been winter for the last three months.It was very cold during winter. I made a haiku about winter.

Yesterday I made a scratch studio. It was called PhantomCat studio. the only project is kittyLogo. I will make more projects.

John McCutcheon Concert

The John McCutcheon Concert was fun! During most of the time I drew and sometimes I just envisioned pictures in m head. I drew pictures of a mill, a piano playing in the middle of the city of Sarajevo, and other things that went along with the songs. We went with my Oma and Opa, and I got an autograph of John McCutcheon on one of my pictures because it was so amazing. I got a picture with him too! There were also fireworks because a church nearby was hosting a block party that distracted the other singer. When the grand finale started we could see it through the church skylight and it was very bright. The singer took a pause during that finale. Then at the end John McCutcheon came back and sang with her and the audience got to sing along on some songs.

This one was from "Streets of Sarajevo." It talked about people who were killed in a breadline and then a musician came and played in the crater left by the bomb every day for 22 days, one for each of the victims. My mom told me later it was a cello not a piano but I still like it and so did Mr. McCutcheon.

Camps this Week

This week in drama camp we are working on a play. It's called Mop Top. It's from Norway and it is very, very awesome. I get to be a troll girl and mess my hair up as much as I want. Then my costume is green and it looks splattered with mud and I also have a leg band made of green mesh. I get to wear face dirt and black makeup.

This week I also have laser printing camp. I'm the only girl in my class. Yay! Today we are finishing all of our projects including the boxes and the living hinge. I might be able to finish my keychain. It's going to be so awesome!

End of June

Basketball camp ended last week. We had three hours of hard work and three hours of fun (a the same time). We got popsicles each day. It was fun and we got basketball camp shirts. It's a little too big for me right now.

VBS was fun. Water day was also very fun. At water day we didn't get as wet as I expected. I had to wear a wet t-shirt around my neck and carry a sponge over my head but neither got me very wet.

On the weekend we saw the Lion King Jr. It was even more fun. The first one we tried to go to it started raining and storming and we had to run home and I was so tired. We tried the next day indoors.

This week is drama camp. It is a lot of fun. It ends today. I am very very very dad. We get to do a performance in front of our parents which will be fun to show all we've learned. The camp was introduction to improv. There are snacks today. Yum.

Doll Divine

There is a website called Doll Divine. It has many games. One of the games is modern sisters frozen. It is a very good game. There is another game called cub creator. It is also fun.

Doodle journal

Yesterday I started a doodle journal . I will write in it every day. Yesterday I drew an ice cream cone. Today I will draw a heart shaped doodle cluster . I love to doodle.

Gifts that Help Others

I'm making things again this year to sell to raise money. Last year I donated to World Vision to help girls around the world go to school. I raised over $150. This year the money is going to special needs children and adults through Lutheran Special Education Ministries and the PACER Center. Here are some of the things I currently have. My Mom's Birthday!

This week was my mom's birthday. We ate at Noodles. In art we used teddy bears to learn about lines. I also learned about lots of animals in my favorite magazine, National Geographic Kids. I get to do school with Kjirsten too. We do Spanish and religion together. I'm learning how to proofread letters too. I like math this week. We're learning about reading diagrams.

Music and the Arts

I love music and art. I'm learning a lot and they're the most fun subjects except science. On piano I'm learning When I Survey the Wondrous Cross. It's my choir director's favorite hymn and we learned to sing it Monday. On the Irish penny whistle I'm learning Amazing Grace. For art I like to draw pictures and make projects for my World Vision fundraiser. I'm also going to be in a dance recital. I'll do tap and ballet. We call the ballet song the Angel Song.
