Swim meet

I have a swim meet this weekend at St. Kate's. I am swimming two races, 100 breast & 100 back crawl. I am probably not going to place very high, but I still like trying. Last year, my team drew with permanent marker on each other while we were waiting for our race. I hope I have a good race!

Spelling bee

Yesterday there was a spelling bee at my school. I was in it, and I got 2nd place. The 1st place person was a grade ahead of me, and the 3rd place person was in my grade. I misspelled Teflon in the final round. I'm actually kind of surprised that I made it that far, even though I didn't study. Maybe it's because I read a lot.

Play auditions (part 2)

On Friday, December 13, I had auditions for a play. I think my audition went well. For the audition, we had to say a monologue and sing a short song. I recited the prologue from beauty and the beast, and sang part of be prepared. My director said I'm probably going to be the mad hatter.

Christmas Concert

A few days ago was my school's Christmas concert. I did a lot of things, like sing in the choir, play bells, play my oboe, and I was one of the narrators in the play. I got to play an oboe solo on Joy to the World. it was going to be a duet, but the other person said they didn't want to. I also sang Twas' in the moon of wintertime for one of the prelude songs. Overall it went well, even though someone broke their wrist a few hours before.

Camp Widjiwagan

Today I am going to go to Camp Widjiwagan with my classmates. Camp Widjiwagan is a camp that is close to the boundary waters. I am staying there the entire week and doing things with my classmates. I am going to be able to hike and maybe canoe, and do other outdoor things. On the way up to camp I am going to stop at Dairy Queen for lunch, and on the way back I am stopping at Little Caesars to get pizza. I hope to have an amazing time!

Cross Country

I'm doing cross country for my school again this year. This time I have to run two miles instead of one. I run every Monday/Wednesday/Friday. Monday and Wednesday are practices, and most Fridays there is a race. That's all for now, and hope you have a great day!

First week of school

Today was my first week of 7th grade. I am still doing half-time home school. The subjects that I have at school are band, bells, science, choir, German, and art. My favorite subject is art. I got to have a pajama day yesterday because my principal is awesome! If you are Home-schooled, leave a comment below!

Last week of school

This week is my last week of school before summer break. I am so exited! That also means 1 week until I get a puppy! Everyone is exited for break. Only about a month until I get to go to Germany! Summer break is fun for me. I get to hang out too.

I am really busy this week.

As the title says, I am really busy this week. I have a lot of things going on, including 1 music festival, 2 MAP tests, 3 rehearsals, and 1 field trip. For the music festival, I have to stay for the whole day. I have the MAP tests on 2 different days, and the rehearsals are Thursday and next Monday. The field trip is Thursday morning. YAY!

School Camp

This week I get to go to a camp with my class. It is 3 hours away. We get to stay for 2 nights and do a whole lot of fun things. We get to stay up past 11:00! I leave tomorrow. We have to pick up lunch on the way because we are driving for a long time. I can´t wait!

Back to school

Yesterday I was back to school again after spring break. Not much exiting happened. I played bells* and sang in choir and did my English. My mom said I have to finish ALL my homework for the whole week before I can play video games. This is already supposed to be Thursday's homework.

Science fair

There is a science fair at our school. I am going to be a part of it this year. My project is about chocolate chip cookies. (what kind of sugar makes the best cookie) I am really exited

Swim Team today!

My school finally found a way to do swim team. We are pairing up with another school, North Heights, so that the people who like to swim, like me, can have a school team. Practice starts today! I am so exited!

School and other things.

        My friend Sweden is going to a different school. I am going to miss her a lot. I gave her my Gmail address. I am also going to have a pizza party and a movie for my class. We are going to watch Tintin. I am also going to have a pasta banquet for my basketball team.
       

Cross-Country

Today I had cross-country. I placed 9th. That was the first time I ever placed. I am getting better. I can run a 9 1/2 minute mile. That is faster than my mom. I like running cross country because you can see new places and run because you want to. It is a good way to exercise your legs. If you run cross-country, comment!

School

Today I had school again. This is my 2nd week of school. I am still half-time home-school. Today I learned a few symbols in science.  Misspelling ho, capitalize ⫢, lowercase‗, take out➰, and put in ^. Also I got a chromebook.

School

Yesterday was the first day of school. there were a lot of new students since CLS closed. I met some old friends. Today is the first day of band. I am the only oboe so far, and i like it. I am taking an online creative writing class for my homeschool English. in case you were wondering, I am half time homeschooled. At school, i take art, English, crosstones (bells), and choir. 

Rosefest Parade

hello. last night i went to the RoseFest Parade. I was also walking in the parade. My group was the 85th group to go. We watched the parade until we went. we threw candy to everyone that wanted some. It was 9:00 when the parade ended. The parade was a mile long, so the cross-country skills were handy. So yeah.

drama and other things i'm thinking about.

This spring i am doing a musical called The Granny Awards about fairy tale characters getting awards like Best female vocalist. during the play, the Big Bad Wolf tries to steal the awards. I am Cinderella/Red riding hood. I am also a kitten in the Three Little Kittens laundry commercial, and a child in the Hickory Dickory Dock clocks ad.

astronaut at KOK

Dear Person,

Today an astronaut came to my school. He talked about space. He said he had to apply 5 times to get the job. He went into space 4 times. Once he was fixing the Hubble space telescope on Christmas eve. They took a picture of him wearing a Santa hat. The Santa hat stuck straight up. He duck taped it to the side so it looked like a Santa hat

ps: My classroom can never stay its normal temperature. It was at 52 degrees when I came and 70 degrees when I left. We ended up staying in the library.
