Gifts that Help Others

I'm making things again this year to sell to raise money. Last year I donated to World Vision to help girls around the world go to school. I raised over $150. This year the money is going to special needs children and adults through Lutheran Special Education Ministries and the PACER Center. Here are some of the things I currently have. I can do requests too, but I don't have clay for charms anymore. You may donate as much or as little as you like, but please remember that I need to pay to mail them too. If you live far away, you can mail a check, or use PayPal. Email my mom at cobberreb@yahoo.com for details.

Happy birthday Kjirsten!

Kjirsten's birthday was last week. It was fun to see my grandparents on Sunday. Then I got to see them again for Grandparents' Day on Wednesday. I did bowling with them, and showed them my classroom where I do school when it's not with my mom. Then I saw my mom's aunt and uncle Thursday and Friday and Oma and Opa again on Friday. Tomorrow I get to see them again! Lots of family time!

Baptism Anniversary!

We celebrated my Baptism anniversary on Tuesday. My mom made a cake, and tried to make marshmallow fondant. It was yummy, but she didn't take a picture because she thought it turned out funny. She said the dove looked like a squirrel. I decorated the living room with my favorite flower blanket and we had an indoor picnic for dessert!

My birthday!

I turned seven last Friday. I got to invite friends to Feed My Starving Children. My table packed enough food for 500 meals! I got some of my favorite things for presents: science kits, books, jewelry kits.

Charity Project!

I'm celebrating my birthday this week at Feed My Starving Children. I think it's fun and fun to see all the people that it helps.

I'm doing crafts for raising money again. This year, I'm going to donate what I get to local education projects. Last year I raised almost $150, so I hope I can get that much again! Click "Charity Project" to see examples of what I can make. I'll make special requests too!

Snaptricity and Water Safety

My sister and I did Snaptricity this week. We made parallel circuits. That's when you can take one piece out but the other loops keep working. We also learned what happens to the volts when you add or take away a battery.

We also learned about recycling and how things are recycled, and water safety. You should always wear a life jacket on a boat, and don't dive in water if you don't know how deep it is. Always swim with a buddy to be safe.

My Mom's Birthday!

This week was my mom's birthday. We ate at Noodles. In art we used teddy bears to learn about lines. I also learned about lots of animals in my favorite magazine, National Geographic Kids. I get to do school with Kjirsten too. We do Spanish and religion together. I'm learning how to proofread letters too. I like math this week. We're learning about reading diagrams.
