Science fun!

Yesterday my sister and I did Snaptricity circuits for science. We tested our light circuits by going into the basement to see how bright it got. We also powered a fan and made it fly up into the air. Circuits can help move electricity. For a circuit to work, it has to be a shape that connects sides or the electricity won't go through.

On Monday we learned about Canada lynx. In the winter they are whitish gray and when it gets warmer they turn more brown. They change colors so they can blend in with their habitat. Their coats are also thicker in the winter to keep them warmer. Canada lynx don't hibernate, like some animals. 

One animal that hibernates is a groundhog. When it's hibernating it only breathes once every six minutes! Some animals don't get enough oxygen in the winter, like fish. Sometimes the water freezes and there isn't enough oxygen in the water. Then the fish die, and this is called winter kill. Then in the spring the dead fish get washed up onto the shore. That happens at the park near us. Then it smells funny, like dead fish.

German lesson!

Today I gave a German lesson to my sister's class and my class. It was fun! After a little bit of school and the German lesson, I got to eat some German chocolate. We taught the classes some German songs. They had to guess what the English ones were. I'm wearing my dirndl today!

More Legos!

We went to the Lego store to spend some money we saved up. My sister and I got Cloud Cuckoo Palace and the double decker couch. My dad got Benny's spaceship but he won't let us play with it.

Late nights

We got to stay up late two nights in a row. The first night was for the sleepover the second night was for the gala at my dad's school . We got to watch movies on the big screen. Frozen and the lego movie. Everything is awesome everything is cool when you're part of the team!

Birthday recap

That is the birthday party we ate pizza. We made owl shirts. We watched frozen. We had a dance party. we got to stay up really late and eat pancakes in the morning!

Sleepover party!

Today I am going to Isabelle's birthday party. It is a sleepover birthday party. We are going to eat pizza. My sister is coming too. It will be lots of fun.

Talent Show!

At the talent show which was yesterday I played let it go on the piano. My sister did karate. I thought it was lots of fun.
