Magic Show!

I loved the magic show. It was funny because he pretended that tricks were so fast he was watching and he didn't know what was going to happen. When he tried to put a hot dog in the hat more hot dogs kept popping up - two, then three, then four......until he had a dozen hot dogs! Then after that they turned into a long string of hot dogs. It made me hungry. I want to learn how to do some magic tricks. We should go to the library and get a book for that!

Ice Skating!

I like ice skating lessons. It is fun and athletic. I get to go twice a week - Tuesday night and Thursday mornings. That means I have two PEs on Tuesday because I get PE at school, and three on Thursday because I have PE at school and karate at night. Sometimes I'm really active at home for extra PE too.

There will be an ice show at the end of April. Rehearsals start next week. I loved the ice show last year because I got to show off my class's ice moves and my mom and dad both shone a pink light on me when I did my trick. They do the spotlights. I think I'll get to do a better trick this year because I am in Alpha.

Fun Weekend Ahead!

I got invited to a birthday party on Saturday. I hope it will be lots of fun. I can't wait to go! Afterwards we're coming back to my school to watch an illusionist perform at an auction to raise money for my school. On Sunday I have another birthday party and I'll be singing in church! It will be a fun weekend.

Science fun!

Yesterday my sister and I did Snaptricity circuits for science. We tested our light circuits by going into the basement to see how bright it got. We also powered a fan and made it fly up into the air. Circuits can help move electricity. For a circuit to work, it has to be a shape that connects sides or the electricity won't go through.

On Monday we learned about Canada lynx. In the winter they are whitish gray and when it gets warmer they turn more brown. They change colors so they can blend in with their habitat. Their coats are also thicker in the winter to keep them warmer. Canada lynx don't hibernate, like some animals. 

One animal that hibernates is a groundhog. When it's hibernating it only breathes once every six minutes! Some animals don't get enough oxygen in the winter, like fish. Sometimes the water freezes and there isn't enough oxygen in the water. Then the fish die, and this is called winter kill. Then in the spring the dead fish get washed up onto the shore. That happens at the park near us. Then it smells funny, like dead fish.

German lesson!

Today I gave a German lesson to my sister's class and my class. It was fun! After a little bit of school and the German lesson, I got to eat some German chocolate. We taught the classes some German songs. They had to guess what the English ones were. I'm wearing my dirndl today!

More Legos!

We went to the Lego store to spend some money we saved up. My sister and I got Cloud Cuckoo Palace and the double decker couch. My dad got Benny's spaceship but he won't let us play with it.

Late nights

We got to stay up late two nights in a row. The first night was for the sleepover the second night was for the gala at my dad's school . We got to watch movies on the big screen. Frozen and the lego movie. Everything is awesome everything is cool when you're part of the team!
